The Neighborhood Retail Center
Its vibrant blue structure, expansive murals and galvanized metal roof stands out and invites residents into its 10,000 s.f. mix of retail space and supportive service offices. Located at the town center of Everglades Village, the Neighborhood Retail Center hosts a community development credit union where the unbanked become banked, a computer center that helps thwart the IT digital divide and a chock-full Latin American market. The covered marketplace pavilion hosts other resources, too – faith-based counseling, homework assistance and arts instruction.
Its town center setting puts the Neighborhood Retail Center in the heart of neighborhood life. It’s next to the village post office and management offices, too. It’s across from the Everglades Village Community Center – host to back-to-school events, holiday celebrations and festive quinceaneros throughout the year.

These committed organizations ensure Everglades Village residents have access to a breadth of educational, financial, cultural, digital and faith-based services.
El Mercadito Mexicano provides a product a bit different but just as essential to a livable neighborhood. It offers residents 1,500 s.f. of specialty foods ranging from fresh tortillas, produce and meats to baked and canned goods. No need to jump in the car to go to the store if you’re preparing dinner tonight at Everglades Village!
