New Senior Housing Under Construction in LaBelle
Rural Neighborhoods is constructing 29 senior housing units for rent in LaBelle, Florida. The units will be part of Rural Neighborhoods’ Pollywog Creek Apartments located off Jaycee Lions Drive, just north of Winn Dixie. They will be available to tenants in early 2017.
The development fills a need for low-income housing for seniors in LaBelle. Recognizing this need, HUD provided $3.8 million from its Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly Program to Rural Neighborhoods for the complex. All units have one bedroom and one bathroom. Residents will pay no more than 30% of their income toward rent and utilities.
Award-winning architect, Ted Hoffman, designed the project to connect with the existing 64 family units Rural Neighborhoods operates at the site.
