Main Street Village to Get Renovations
Main Street Village was awarded $500,000 in a SHIP “Forgivable Loan” by Collier County Community and Housing Services to help renovate the popular 79-unit rental community. Funds and replacement reserves will be used for a variety of interior and exterior improvements including electrical upgrades and replacement of kitchen and bath cabinetry. Renovation will start in early 2017 and will be completed by June 2017.
Built in 2000, Main Street Village is located on the edge of the downtown business corridor in Immokalee. It marked Rural Neighborhoods’ initial development in Immokalee and our first outside Miami-Dade. Its success opened the door to Rural Neighborhoods’ expansion to other rural Florida communities.
