Staff Member Gains Citizenship
The Rural Neighborhoods/Everglades Housing Group family would like to celebrate one of our own for achieving citizenship in the United States of America. Alexis Santana and his wife Rosa were sworn in as citizens on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Alexis and his wife came to the United States from Cuba approximately 13 years ago. In Cuba, Alexis was a computer engineer.
Since joining our organization, Alexis has worked in our Maintenance department as a team leader and in charge of special projects. He has proven himself invaluable in his abilities, leadership skills and willingness to help. Alexis is a master craftsman in carpentry and cabinets. He has helped design, manufacture and install cabinets and counters throughout the portfolio. Alexis has also been a leader to his maintenance team by providing mentorship and skills training.
