Celebration in Immokalee!
Eighty participants joined Collier County Commissioner, Bill McDaniel, and Rural Neighborhoods to celebrate the lease-up of the 24-unit Casa Amigos rental community and adjacent Eden Park – Esperanza Place Housing Resource Center on October 16, 2024. The housing, designed by Hoffman & Facundo Architects, serves 24 households at 60% AMI and was absorbed in 45 days illustrating the acute demand for affordable housing. The new Housing Resource Center will house Rural Neighborhoods, HELP, and Florida Rural Legal Services. Together, these entities will help prospective renters, those with eviction or landlord issues, and those interested in purchasing a home secure or preserve safe, decent, affordable housing in Immokalee.
