Back to School Event
Rural Neighborhoods recently hosted its annual Back to School Event at its Everglades Village in Homestead. Each year RN hosts the event and invites community partners to participate and offer services to our 511 farmworker families. RN staff and volunteers handed out over 600 book bags at this exciting event.
Other community groups that participated included Total Life Change, Miami-Dade Schools Title I, En Familia, Community Medical Group, Colgate, Community Health CHI, Amigos for Kids, Miami-Dade Police and more. Children were treated to music by a DJ, face painting, popcorn, free dental screenings, health screenings and more! RN appreciates everyone’s participation in making this event successful. The joy on the children’s faces was priceless.
