Orchid Grove helped reclaim a Florida City, FL neighborhood in 2010 by investing new capital and transforming a once barren urban infill lot into a stunning residential asset. Municipal reinvestment followed: streets, curbs and sidewalks have been rebuilt for blocks in every direction. In taking on problems in this once troubled setting, Rural Neighborhoods and co-developer Pinnacle Housing Group understood the potential impact of success– changed communities change lives.

The Community: Florida City
Located in southernmost Miami-Dade County, Florida City is a small town of just over 11,000 persons. Founded in 1914, the local economy has been strongly tied to agriculture for the past century.
