New Units Fill Up in Immokalee
Rural Neighborhoods’ newest property in Immokalee, Casa Amigos, is rapidly filling. Opened in December 2023, the final tenants will move into their apartments in the 24-unit structure in January. Serving both farmworkers and non-farmworkers, the units feature two bedrooms and two baths. Funding for the units was provided by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Bank in partnership with BankUnited, and Collier County Community and Human Services Department.
Next month, Rural Neighborhoods will also open its Esperanza Community Center that will provide information on housing opportunities in the community and provide much needed community meeting space. Watch for a Grand Opening Celebration for both buildings in the upcoming months.
